Things to consider when financial planning for your abortion
Most abortion procedures cost around $500, most funds will not cover the entire amount. Consider what you’re able to afford, and if there are people in your life who may be able to assist you.
Call your insurance company to find out if abortion is offered as a covered benefit. NC Medicaid does not cover abortion, and health insurance through the state ACA health exchange and for public employees only cover abortion in cases of life endangerment and sexual assault.
Call different clinics to find out cost; some clinics vary in cost, and some may be able to offer small amounts of financial assistance. Contact as many funds as you can.
